Honest assessment: repair when it makes sense, replace when it does not. We look at the gutter line on the house — not a calendar date.
What we check on site
The repair page lists the problems we evaluate at the house: leaking seams, loose or sagging sections, standing water, downspout damage, storm wear, and fascia issues tied to the gutter. One of those can be a local fix. Several of them on the same run usually means the system is done.
- A leak at one joint, with the rest of the run still tight to the fascia.
- A sag or a pulled hanger on an otherwise sound section.
- A downspout that is crushed, loose, or no longer carrying water to grade.
- Sections pulling away, rusted through, or already holding a mix of old patches.
When repair still makes sense
Not every gutter issue needs a full replacement. If the run is still sound and the failure is local, we repair it. You talk with Alonzo about what we actually see — not a script.
When the whole run should come off
A patch on one joint does not restore a run that is pulling away, holding water, or failing in more than one place. A full system manages flow from the roofline to the discharge. That is the job of a new seamless line, fabricated on site — see installation if the existing gutters are past a local fix.
Age alone is not the rule. A newer run can still need to come off. An older run can still take a repair. The house decides.
